Thirteen shot after dispute at house party

Thirteen people are in hospital after being shot at a house party in Chicago, with four critically injured.

Police have recovered a revolver from the scene of the incident on the city’s South Side in the early hours of Sunday, and two people are being questioned.

The victims range in age between 16 and 48 and have suffered “different and various gunshot wounds to their bodies”, according to chief of patrol Fred Waller.

Mr Waller said the shooting had started inside before continuing outside as people began spilling out, adding that shots were also fired at another property nearby.

He described it as an “isolated incident”.
