Rollerblading robber holds up Dunkin’ Donuts and escapes with cash

A surgical mask-wearing robber in the US fled on rollerblades after holding up a doughnut store with what appeared to be a gun under his clothing.

Nassau County Police said the suspect glided into the Dunkin’ Donuts shop in Hicksville, Long Island, New York state, bought a cup of coffee and then demanded cash.

The man escaped with an undetermined amount of money andwas last seen heading in the direction of a Long Island Rail Road station a few streets away.

A Dunkin’ Donuts worker who was in the shop at the time of the incident at around 7.50pm on Friday was not hurt, police said.

The suspect was described as wearing a brown Carhartt jacket, blue sweatpants, red beanie cap and to protect himself from coronavirus he also wore a surgical mask and black rubber gloves.

The shop worker told police the man was 5ft 10in with a thin build.

Police have made no arrests.
