Pearl Harbor: US sailor kills himself after shooting three on Hawaii base

Two people have been killed and a third injured after a US navy sailor opened fire at Hawaii’s historic military base at Pearl Harbor.

The gunman, who was serving on board USS Colombia, then killed himself.

A military spokesman confirmed the incident took place at Drydock 2 of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard.

The victims are all civilian Department of Defense employees.

Governor David Ige said on Twitter: “I join in solidarity with the people of Hawaii as we express our heartbreak over this tragedy and concern for those affected by the shooting,”
