Lizzo dominates as women lead Grammy nominations

Women lead the way in this year’s Grammy nominations, with the best pop solo performance category boasting an all-female lineup.

Beyonce, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Lizzo and Taylor Swift will all go head-to-head in the category at next year’s ceremony.

Truth Hurts singer Lizzo got the most nominations, boasting eight nods, four of which are in the top four categories – record, album and song of the year, and best new artist.

Billie Eilish and Lil Nas follow with six nominations each.

Seventeen-year-old Eilish is the youngest artist to receive nods in all four main categories, and earlier this year she became the youngest female solo artist to get to number one in the UK album charts with When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
