De Niro: I want a ‘bag of s***’ in Trump’s face
Robert De Niro has said Donald Trump “needs to be humiliated” and that he would like to see a “bag of s***” thrown in the president’s face.
The Oscar-winning actor took his long-running criticism of the US president to new extremes during a podcast appearance alongside documentary maker Michael Moore, who is also not a fan of Mr Trump.
De Niro said the Democrats must choose a candidate to run against Mr Trump in the 2020 presidential election who is formidable enough “to confront him and put him in his place”.

The Irishman star told Moore: “I’d like to see a bag of shit right in his face. Hit him right in the face like that and let the picture go all over the world. That would be the most humiliating thing because he needs to be humiliated.
“He needs to be confronted and humiliated by whoever his opponent is – his political opponent.”
The 76-year-old, who has previously said he wants to punch Mr Trump in the face, added: “They don’t need to do it in an obvious physical way but they have to have the formidability to confront him and put him in his place.
“The people have to see him humiliated.”

President Donald Trump impeached on charge of abuse of power
De Niro has endorsed Pete Buttigieg, a former US navy lieutenant and the current mayor of South Bend in Indiana, ahead of front-runner Joe Biden in the battle between Democratic candidates, to take on Mr Trump next year.
Among the other high-profile contenders are Bernie Sanders, who also ran in 2016, and Elizabeth Warren.

During his debut on the Rumble With Michael Moore show, De Niro also suggested the Republican Party had “made a deal with the devil” by working with Mr Trump, who was impeached earlier this week.
He said: “What’s the rationale? You are a public servant and you have gone and you have compromised yourself.
“You have sold yourself, you have prostituted yourself to be with this fool that taints everybody.”
He added: “Nobody is going to forget. Years down the line, the press will not forget what these people have done to enable this terrible situation.”
Earlier this year, De Niro told Sky News that Mr Trump was a “monster” but was “too stupid to know he’s evil”.
